"A percentage of purchases made at thousands of stores -- including Amazon, Macys, Best Buy and more -- will be directly donated to the shopper's favorite nonprofit or school.”

Goodshop-- the company known for its innovative “coupons for good” shopping website – is giving shoppers the unique opportunity to turn every gift they purchase on Giving Tuesday into a “gift that gives back!”

Goodshop allows consumers to combine two activities on Giving Tuesday (December 1) – supporting a cause they care about and shopping for holiday gifts for their loved ones. Via Goodshop, shoppers will find more than 500,000 great coupon codes and deals and a portion of what they spend at thousands of stores including Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, Macys and more will be donated right back to the cause of their choice.

“What we love about Goodshop – which fits right into the spirit of Giving Tuesday – is that shoppers get to choose their own cause to support, whether that is a large national organization like the Humane Society of the United States or the American Cancer Society, or a small dog shelter or local school,” says Scott Garell, CEO of Goodshop.

To date, Goodshop has raised nearly $12 million which has helped, find homes for stray dogs, provide books for schools, feed the hungry and help thousands more causes.

And, it’s easy for users. They simply go to Goodshop.com, choose the cause they’d like to support, and then click through to the store and shop as they normally would. The user pays nothing extra and the donation is automatically made to the cause.

“It’s really fantastic,” says Gooodshopper Ellen Listen who supports the American Cancer Society. “I have a big list of gifts to buy and knowing that a portion of what I spend on Giving Tuesday is going back to fund important research makes buying those gifts even more meaningful. And it's great that it's basically a one-stop-shop for coupon codes too.”

“With the National Retail Federation reporting that Americans will spend over $105 billion online on holiday shopping this year, the opportunity to make an impact is big” said Scott Garell, Goodshop CEO. “With an average of nearly 3% of our sales going to nonprofits and schools, Goodshoppers have the potential to make a huge difference on Giving Tuesday and this holiday shopping season.”
