Aeroflow Healthcare Donates 1,000 Pounds of Food for the Hungry
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- Aeroflow Healthcare donated over 1,000 pounds of food to MANNA Food Bank prior to the Thanksgiving weekend to help feed those in need during the holiday season.
Founded in Asheville, NC, Aeroflow Healthcare was created as a supplier of oxygen to local patients in 2001. It has since grown to become a prominent provider of durable medical equipment and service in the Southeast, and continues to grow nationwide. Throughout 2015, Aeroflow has created numerous programs to give back to the community and encourage its employees to expand their philanthropic compassion beyond work.
The most recent act of giving by Aeroflow and its employees was a successful canned food drive to support MANNA Food Bank and their mission to end hunger. Through the combined efforts of Aeroflow’s entire staff, they were able to donate over 1,000 pounds of canned food for MANNA Food Bank and the families who need their services.
“Patient care is always our number one priority at Aeroflow. It doesn’t matter if they are current patient of ours, or members of the community who may be in need; we want to do whatever we can to help improve their lives. When our employees all came together, we were able to donate a huge amount of food. This is a proud day for everyone at Aeroflow,” said Casey Hite, CEO of Aeroflow Healthcare.
MANNA Food Bank is a non profit organization serving Western North Carolina since 1983 and aims to “involve, educate and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina.” MANNA relies on the support of volunteers and donors like Aeroflow Healthcare to serve the community and feed the hungry.
Aeroflow Healthcare has already executed a number of philanthropic programs this fall, and has more planned. In October, Aeroflow employees donated clothing and toys to Mission Children’s Hospital to benefit their Child Life program, and donated their time to rake leaves and perform lawn maintenance for senior citizens in need of lawn care. For the remainder of the year, Aeroflow will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots and donating their time at a local senior center to help bring holiday cheer and comfort to the residents.
