Octo Consulting Group, Inc. Awarded $34M NGA Agile Web Presence Contract
(PRWEB) December 01, 2015 -- McLean, VA., December 1, 2015 - Octo Consulting Group, (Octo) today announced it has been awarded a fixed price per sprint agile development contract to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) IT Services Directorate. The contract, valued at $34 million over five years, provides software engineering, infrastructure, as well as operations and sustainment support to the NGA’s Agile Web Presence (AWP) program.
The “fixed price per sprint” is an innovative contract vehicle for the NGA’s AWP program and federal government as a whole. The contract emphasizes the purchase of development capacity instead of the typical delivery against finite, fixed requirements. This flexibility affords NGA greater efficiency, cost savings and ensures deliverables that meet mission requirements.

The AWP program develops and sustains NGA's internal and external web presences including NGA's .mil website as well as multiple websites on NGA's unclassified and classified networks.
