The Orange County Christmas Extravaganza 2015 will be nationally broadcast and feature American Idols Ruben Studdard and Kris Allen, along with Idol alums and stars.

“Ben will bring the perfect energy and style to the Orange County Christmas Extravaganza and we are so excited to work with him,” said Ron DeShay, producer of the OC Christmas Extravaganza. “With so many performers we look forward to an incredible night!"

With the excitement of preparing a live televised broadcast in full swing, the Orange County Christmas Extravaganza has announced that Ben Giroux, popular television actor, comedian and YouTube star will be the host for the performance which will welcome long time talents to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on Wednesday, December 23.

“Ben will bring the perfect energy and style to the Orange County Christmas Extravaganza and we are so excited to work with him,” said Ron DeShay, producer of the OC Christmas Extravaganza. “With so many performers including Ruben Studdard, Tamyra Gray, Kris Allen, Ayla Brown, Pia Toscano, Elliott Yamin and many others, Ben will provide the perfect energy to the broadcast and celebration.”

Having built a strong track record of performances on network television, including Hart of Dixie, 2 Broke Girls, and House, Mr. Giroux has also established a highly followed YouTube and online presence as well.

“We are thrilled to have Ben help us share the Extravaganza with the world,” explained Mr. DeShay. “We look forward to an incredible broadcast that starts the Christmas celebration perfectly.”

Broadcast live on KDOC, in Los Angeles, as well having the red carpet arrivals with live hits on KABC News Channel 7, the ABC owned station in Los Angeles, the Christmas Extravaganza will feature performances by Ruben Studdard, Kris Allen, Tamyra Gray, Ayla Brown, Paris Bennett, Pia Toscano, Elliott Yamin, and many many others.

The live broadcast will also be telecast into the Houston, TX market by KUBE and in the New York, NY market as well.

The Jessie Rees Foundation, which is the official charity partner for the Extravaganza, has helped over 100,000 courageous kids battling cancer and their families by partnering with over 220 children’s hospitals globally and across North America to distribute colorful JoyJars filled with treatment appropriate toys along with care packages for families.

“Christmas always opens hearts to caring and giving and Jessie Rees and the foundation she founded care for so many everyday,” said Mr. DeShay. “We are honored to work with them on the Extravaganza and in the incredible work they do.”
