Califia Farms wins Gold in Beverage World Global Packaging Awards; Aguas Frescas and Horchatas win Award of Excellence in 2015 U.S.A. Taste Championships

Califia Farms, one of the fastest growing natural beverage companies in the United States, today announced that its iconic bottle has won top honors in Beverage World Magazine’s Global Packaging Design Awards, taking home the Gold in the functional drinks category. The Company also announced that it has been selected as a 2015 U.S.A. Taste Champion in the American Masters of Taste Championships for its winning product line in the retail/grocery categories of Refrigerated, Ready-To-Drink, Aguas Frescas and Horchatas.

The Beverage World Global Packaging Awards recognize the best in beverage packaging design from around the world. Entries are judged on a variety of elements including graphic design and structural innovation. Winners, including Califia Farms, are featured in the November 2015 issue of Beverage World Magazine.

For the American Masters of Taste Awards, Califia Farms submitted its line of Latin-inspired beverages: Mango Chili Lime Agua Fresca, Pineapple Ginger Agua Fresca, Strawberry Basil Agua Fresca, Kiwi Cactus Lemonade Agua Fresca, Watermelon Ginger Lime Agua Fresca, Classic Cinnamon Almondmilk Horchata and Vanilla Coconut Almondmilk Horchata. All were judged superior by a panel of Masters of Taste selected by Chefs In America in a “triple blind” tasting. The panel agreed: “Califia Farms has succeeded in its mission to deliver quality beverage products using California grown fruits and nuts, but has also succeeded in providing superior taste in the form of ready-to-drink, refrigerated beverages.”

These prestigious awards join other 2015 accolades for the Company, including being named a “Top 10 Challenger Brand” by the Seurat Group; a “Breakout Brand” by Beverage World, and a winner of Prevention's 100 Cleanest Packaged Foods Awards. In addition, CEO Steltenpohl, dubbed an ‘eco-friendly revolutionary,’ was named one of the Top 50 Disruptors in the beverage industry.
