Strategic Capital Partners, LLC seeks dynamic early-stage enterprises to kick off our Capital Cycles for 2016. SCP recently closed a successful 2015 with its tenth angel investment event bringing together the region’s emerging-growth technology companies with private equity investors. These events have already given nearly 70 investors across the Mid-Atlantic region the opportunity to invest in companies representing a diversity of industries. More than $1,100,000 has been raised to date for four companies, others are negotiating investment, and one company was acquired at an impressive investment multiple.
SCP heads into 2016 with a new “Capital Cycle” format aimed at enhancing the quality of companies pitching to investors and increasing the likelihood of early-stage companies receiving the capital investment needed for growth. President and managing partner Mark Greathouse noted, “Supporting promising entrepreneurial enterprises in the Mid-Atlantic region fosters a dynamic that spurs innovation, builds value, creates jobs, and ensures a thriving economy. We look forward to even greater successes in 2016 with a format being used by successful angel investor groups nationwide.”
As firm partner and BMC Accounting President Brett Hess describes, “The Capital Cycle format will enable our angel investors to better share their passion for helping fellow entrepreneurs succeed with greater investment returns for angel investors.” There will be five Capital Cycles in 2016, with December 30, 2015 as the application deadline for the first cycle.”
Hess adds, “Many folks may think of Strategic Capital Partners events as a local version of the notoriously successful “Shark Tank” television show, but we offer a dynamic aimed at better meeting the needs of the regional community.”
