Seasoned litigators and eDiscovery professionals take the helm at the new full-service, state-of-the-art document review center

We help to develop the best strategies for reviewing documents, quickly honing in on important data our clients care about. We take our cues from clients but try to constantly support them with new ideas.

Advanced Discovery, leading provider of end-to-end eDiscovery services, today announced the opening of a turnkey document review and services center in Detroit. The Detroit opening marks the seventh such center launched by the company since its founding in 2002.

Director of Professional Services Brandi Walkowiak and Review Manager George Forbes bring a wealth of litigation and eDiscovery experience to the location. Together they will anchor teams of experienced attorney reviewers and oversee all operations and matters handled in the center.

Prior to joining Advanced Discovery, Walkowiak served 12 years in AmLaw 100 firms as a litigator and white collar defense attorney. “The experience and expertise of both George and myself gives us the unique ability to become trusted advisors to our discovery clients,” said Walkowiak. “We help to develop the best strategies for reviewing documents, quickly honing in on important data our clients care about. We take our cues from clients but try to constantly support them with new ideas.”

According to Walkowiak, this added value translates into real dollars saved for the end client as the efficiency and proficiency of the matter increase. The reasonable billing rate for attorney reviewers gives the new Detroit center yet another value to pass along to its clients.

The new office accommodates 100-150 contract attorneys and has six dedicated, secure review rooms. Designed to optimize review productivity in a completely data-secure environment, the Detroit center has the latest in physical and network security coupled with the workstations and technology that reviewers need to work efficiently every day.

Walkowiak is excited to help clients tackle all of the moving parts of a case from the new location. “The production of documents is the first thing in a case,” Walkowiak said. “There is so much work that happens with documents after production. If you have a group of people that just reviewed 200,000 of your documents, they now know that case well. Clients can use us for witness deposition prep or finding the right exhibits for dispositive motions or the right exhibit for trial. We can also help with privilege logs. All of these services are accomplished with the highest quality and at a fraction of the in-house cost.
