ProviDyn Expands Service Relationship with Action Ministries; Assumes Responsibility for Employee Technical Training
(PRWEB) December 07, 2015 -- ProviDyn, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits, today announced that non-profit firm Action Ministries, Inc. has further expanded its relationship with ProviDyn, asking the firm to handle new employee “technology onboarding.” ProviDyn will train new personnel how to properly use the technology tools at their disposal and provide continuing education to all personnel on security and other key issues.
“Technology is not our core competency, so using a company like ProviDyn makes a lot of sense for us,” said Action Ministries Chief Operating Officer S. Kelley Henderson, “We look to ProviDyn’s technology strength to help us improve as an agency so we can serve the community better.” These are lessons, Henderson noted, from which other non-profits would benefit, as well.
When an employee is hired, ProviDyn gets his or her email, computer and phone configured in advance, then provides the new user with a tutorial.
“This approach really speeds up the learning curve and helps to get our new people up and running faster,” Henderson said. “On an ongoing basis, we want to ensure all of our employees are getting regular education on what it means to secure data. It seems everyone today is getting their data breached, and we want to stay state of the art.”
The non-profit has also entered into discussions with ProviDyn to potentially develop an employee intranet. The site will serve as a landing page for key events, activities, news, support tickets, and other information.
“We really enjoy our relationship with Action Ministries, and it has been rewarding to watch their adoption of and appreciation for technology blossom while working with us,” said ProviDyn President Hamish Davidson. “Every decision they make is evaluated through the lens of serving the community more effectively, and it feels great to be a part of that effort.”
For the past year, ProviDyn has already been the designated provider for IT solution development, support and management as well as long-term, strategic planning and vendor management of Action Ministries’ telecommunications system.
