ALBANY, NY (PRWEB) December 04, 2015
Sam NeJame, a highly respected New York government law and policy attorney, has joined the Albany office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a shareholder. Greenberg Traurig's Albany office is well-known for representing a range of clients, from small and medium businesses to nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies, and other entities, in New York legislative and regulatory matters. The attorneys and directors assist clients in navigating sophisticated and complex matters before the New York State government.
“One of our distinguishing features is our commitment to a top tier state and federal government law and policy practice, and we are the only firm holding that position in the capitols of the key states of New York, Florida, Texas, and California," said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Executive Officer. "Sam is an example of adding strength to strength, and his particular experience in the industries that complement ours, including real estate, health care, and economic development, make him an invaluable addition to our experienced Albany team."
NeJame has a particular focus representing the New York real estate industry, including the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), along with SL Green and Tishman Speyer, two of Manhattan’s largest commercial landlords. He also represents important corporate and civic organizations as well as a wide variety of other clients with a major presence in New York State.
“I have known and respected the Greenberg Traurig team for many years and am looking forward to working with them. The firm’s substantial resources, depth of legal expertise, and national footprint will materially benefit my clients,” said NeJame.
“Sam is known throughout the legislature and executive branch for being a skilled problem solver. CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and leaders of civic associations and important nonprofit organizations regularly turn to him for his expert counsel and ability to assist their organizations to reach their business goals,” said Harold Iselin, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Albany office and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law and Policy Practice. “We are thrilled that he will be joining the Greenberg Traurig team.”
NeJame is an adjunct professor at The Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY Albany, teaching a course on New York State government, the law, and lobbying. He also frequently guest lectures on the topic of government relations and the law at SUNY Albany and for various trade association boards. NeJame received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, and his B.A. from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs.
