91st East-West Shrine Game Tickets On Sale Now
St Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) December 09, 2015 -- Tickets for the East-West Shrine Game® are now on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for the game online at shrinegame.com or at ticketmaster.com.
All game tickets are $15 and general admission, first come first serve seating (price does not include service fees). Tickets are not required for children under the age of 2. Tickets can also be purchased on game day at the Tropicana Field Box Office.
The game will be played on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kick-off is at 4 p.m. (EST).
The East-West Shrine Game is a showcase for up-and-coming NFL talent as national media and scouts from every professional team spend the week in St. Petersburg to review the players. More than 100 players from last year’s game were invited to NFL training camps, and more than 70 made NFL rosters. Any given season there are about 265 East-West alumni on NFL rosters. More than 70 alumni have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, having showcased their talents on the East-West gridiron before launching their professional careers.
“This is the 91st East-West Shrine Game, making it the longest running college all-star game in the country,” said Harold Richardson, Executive Director of the game. “This is our fifth year in Tampa Bay and community support for the game has grown here each year. This is a great family event that supports Shriners Hospitals for Children®."
More than just a game, since 1925, the East-West Shrine Game has helped raise money and awareness for Shriners Hospitals for Children, a health care system with 22 locations dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
