Countdown to ELOISA’s New Year’s Eve Party Begins Now

Chef John Sedlar’s restaurant, ELOISA, will “Ring in the New Year” with tapas and cava from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve

ELOISA Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico is celebrating New Year’s Eve 2016 in style, serving up tapas by star chef John Rivera Sedlar, sparkling libations, and music by DJ Miss Ginger from 10 pm to 1 am on December 31, 2015.

ELOISA will be open for dinner service on New Year’s Eve from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The New Year’s Eve celebration begins at 10 p.m., with advance reservations costing $60 per person and $75 at the door. Cost of entry includes a selection of tacos, tapas and hors d'oeuvres created especially for the occasion by owner and Executive Chef Sedlar. Libations, music and surprise entertainment will be presented throughout the night.

Chef Sedlar said that the party is very much in keeping with his grandmother Eloisa’s spirit, for whom the restaurant is named. “Eloisa loved to throw a good party,” says Chef Sedlar, “she was the go-to place for fun and camaraderie.”

Sedlar is equally known for creating warm and inviting modern Southwestern cuisine and craft cocktail programs at his previous restaurants in Los Angeles. He hopes to bring the same level of sophistication and energy to the Santa Fe nightlife scene. His rooftop bar, Bar Alto, will not be open on New Year’s Eve to concentrate on the party at ELOISA.

Ginger Dunnill, known as DJ Miss Ginger, is one of Santa Fe’s favorite DJs, spinning an eclectic mix of music and creating a fun, transformative environment. Her addition to the ELOISA’s New Year’s Eve party promises to create an exciting atmosphere.

Critically acclaimed New Mexican born chef, John Rivera Sedlar returns to his New Mexican roots to open ELOISA in Santa Fe. Chef Sedlar is known for his revered Los Angeles-based restaurants Playa and Rivera. After closing at the end of 2014, Rivera will open again in a larger space in West LA. Sedlar is a Latin American food scholar and master chef who has been featured on Bravo television’s Master Chef and was named Chef of the Year by Esquire Magazine; additionally, Sedlar wrote the seminal Southwestern cookbook, “ A Guide to Modern Southwest Cooking.”

Ginger Dunnill aka DJ Miss Ginger works in audio composition and as a DJ under the name DJ Miss Ginger. Ginger has performed at venues across America, but calls New Mexico home and she is proud to contribute to the club events, private parties social networking events through her music. Recently, Ginger has provided music for the Santa Fe Street Fashion Show, the IAIA Annual Gala Ball, various high-end gallery openings and has been the featured DJ for various nightclub and private events throughout Santa Fe.
