Hitachi Solutions Acquires Leading Microsoft Dynamics Solution Provider Ignify

Strategic acquisition expands Hitachi Solutions’ global delivery model in Asia Pacific, deepens IP portfolio, strengthens retail and other industry solutions, and furthers Microsoft strategic partnership.

Hitachi Solutions America, Ltd., a leading provider of global industry solutions based on the Microsoft Cloud, today announced it has acquired Ignify, an award-winning solutions provider specializing in Microsoft Dynamics industry solutions. This strategic acquisition brings Hitachi Solutions’ expanded global delivery capabilities with the addition of more than 450 experienced technical and delivery resources. In addition, the company gains a portfolio of proven IP and industry solutions, particularly in the retail sector, to enable delivery of global turnkey industry solutions.

Founded in 1999 by Sandeep Walia and Pankaj Kumar, Ignify is an award-winning global solutions provider specializing in Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail Point of Sale solutions. Ignify is has offices in the U.S., India, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. The company’s flagship product Ignify eCommerce is an end-to-end Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) ecommerce platform that provides full merchandising, inventory, and marketing capabilities. With this acquisition, Ignify will immediately become part of Hitachi Solutions America, Ltd. and will be operating under the Business Solutions Group. Walia and Kumar will become senior members of Hitachi Solutions’ management team and play key roles in the organization.

Expansion in Asia Pacific

Asia Pacific is a key geography for Hitachi Solutions and this acquisition is another important milestone in the company’s continued investment in the region. The company recently opened a subsidiary in Singapore to bring sales and support closer to its customers and to enable its global customers to realize local synergies. Hitachi Solutions operates four global development centers across India along with a successful academic program targeting students at engineering colleges and business schools with opportunities to develop skills in Microsoft Dynamics.
