Two platforms earn Leader status while Instapage tops overall satisfaction rankings

G2 Crowd, the world’s leading business software review platform, today released the Winter 2016 Conversion Rate Optimization Software GridSM report to help businesses make the best technology decisions. Optimizely and KISSmetrics were named Leaders in the report, receiving strong customer satisfaction scores with a large market presence. Additionally, Instapage, Monetate, LeadPages, Visual Website Optimizer, Marketizator, Unbounce and Evergage were named High Performers earning strong customer satisfaction marks with smaller market presence scores. Instapage earned the highest overall satisfaction score while Google Analytics earned the highest overall Market Presence score.

The GridSM leverages customer satisfaction data reported by authenticated users along with vendor market presence determined from social and public data. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.

Key Findings:

Overall, the conversion rate optimization feature ratings were primarily positive, with variation testing features scoring the highest average satisfaction scores throughout the category. Features that rated highly in the variation testing category included A/B testing, with a 90 percent average satisfaction score and conversion goals, with an 89 percent average satisfaction score.

Key findings also revealed the What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor, a feature within the build category, was cited as an in-demand feature by many reviewers and proved to be polarizing in the category. Seven products rated at 85 percent or higher for this feature and four products rated at or under 80 percent.

There have also been multiple changes since the Winter 2015 GridSM most notably Optimizely and KISSmetrics, which both moved from High Performer to Leader as their satisfaction scores increased by 27 points and 14 points, and their market presence scores increased by 12 and 8, respectively. Additionally, multiple new products were added to the GridSM including Google Analytics (Contender), Instapage (High Performer), LeadPages (High Performer) and Evergage (High Performer).
