Approaching the end of 2015, Calibre's 40th year in business, the team take a few moments to reflect on what it is that has made it a successful contractor within the air conditioning industry (http://www.calibreclimate.com/what-we-do/air-con-services/).
And what is it? The answer is clear: the customers.
More precisely, it is the building of enduring relationships based on mutual respect. It is this that ensures the sustainable growth of any business. As an air conditioning contractor Calibre installs state-of-the-art climate control systems, using highly skilled teams of engineers. But the principal ingredient in meeting the need is the collaboration with clients to survey and design bespoke solutions.
The founder, Peter Smith (http://www.calibreclimate.com/about-us/the-team/), has this to say: “From the very beginning, we acted on the principle that we will first find out what the customer actually wants – then work with customers to get it done. And it is this principle that has seen customers return again and again over the years. It’s good to think that this is still what keeps the business growing.”
Over the last 40 years Calibre has had a 600% growth in turnover, moved premises 5 times, and has always had an excellent rate of recommendations and repeat business from a delighted customer base.
