World’s Tallest Digitally-Animated Christmas Tree Spreads “Season’s Greetings” Throughout Times Square on the Toshiba, TDK and Dunkin’ Donuts Screens

The world’s tallest digitally-animated Christmas tree illuminates the winter sky throughout Times Square with “season’s greetings,” on the Toshiba, TDK and Dunkin’ Donuts screens.

The official “season’s greetings” from Toshiba, TDK and Dunkin’ Donuts, the world’s tallest digital Christmas tree, will light up One Times Square underneath the famous New Year’s Eve ball through Wednesday, January 13.

Encompassing four digital signs, and rising 400 feet above street level, the 204-foot digital tree utilizes state of the art graphic designs, designed for maximum visual exposure in Times Square. As it debuted, first seen in silhouette, a gradual pulsating glow behind the tree began, letting viewers know something special was in the offing. The tree began to sparkle, while another Times Square tradition, a special countdown, slowly appeared. As the countdown got to “1,” thousands of white lights shimmered, with the new rotating tree getting brighter and brighter in sparkling lights as a sash with “Season’s Greetings” enveloped it.

“Every year Toshiba and TDK, joined by Dunkin’ Donuts for the second year in a row, light the world’s largest digital Christmas tree to celebrate the holiday season for the thousands of people who pass through Times Square every day,” says Eddie Temistokle, Sr. Manager Corp. Communication & CSR Toshiba America Inc. “We are excited to continue this holiday tradition in the crossroads of the world.”

“TDK is thrilled to continue what has become a holiday ritual in displaying the world’s largest digitally-animated Christmas tree in Times Square for millions of people to enjoy,” says Frank Sweeney, President and CEO, TDK U.S.A. Corporation.

The tree will decorate the winter sky and set the mood for the holiday season in Times Square through January 13, 2016, appearing on the screens every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day.
