SyncDog, Inc. announces it has been chosen for The Intelligence Community’s Change-Agent Award
Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) December 10, 2015 -- SyncDog, Inc., the leading ISV for mobile application containerization and IoT module monitoring, today announced it has won The Intelligence Community (TIC) Change-Agent Award for innovations in securing enterprise data from enhanced risk due to the mobile device practices of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Corporate Owned Personally Enabled (COPE).
More than 250 companies were nominated for awards at the TIC Awards Gala, a black-tie event held in November in Washington, D.C. Within the Change Agent award category, there were nearly 90 companies nominated. The TIC Change Agent award was given to SyncDog as an example of a small independent software vendor (ISV) that had customer use cases that were unique and innovative. SyncDog provided TIC with a couple of customer use cases in government and healthcare that were exemplary of these traits.
“SyncDog is addressing the risk brought on by BYOD and COPE with a new and unique way of doing things,” said Jonas Gyllensvaan, SyncDog president and CEO. “The flexible deployment options we offer leads to more successful installations and simple, affordable per-seat pricing, and as a result, we are creating new choices for government and industry for enterprise security,” he added.
Gyllensvaan continued: “Because of this flexibility and affordability with our SentinelSecure™ product, we are able to address another high-risk vulnerability that few ISVs are thinking about in this manner, the IoT (Internet of Things). As an industry, we don’t think of IoT as a vehicle for malicious operations, but a breach is coming that we must be prepared for.”
TIC offers on-demand platform for security and is a social network for InfoSec professionals in intel gathering, translation, geopolitical consulting, and more. TIC was established in 2013 as a LinkedIn group and was founded by John Goodenow, a licensed Private Investigator for corporate and private clients since 1995, specializing in surveillance.
“SyncDog is the type of ISV we were looking for in a recipient for the Change Agent award,” said Graham Plaster, TIC president and CEO. “The innovation of their container as a secure workspace for government and healthcare, coupled with their approach to securing IoT M2M modules puts them far ahead of other vendors we looked at in the mobile security vertical.”
