When it’s time to replace a clutch, inspect the flywheel, too. If it needs replacing, Summit Racing now offers Centerforce steel and aluminum flywheels that allow the drivetrain to transfer optimal engine torque.
Centerforce Steel Flywheels are CAD/CAM-designed and CNC-machined to strict tolerances. The billet steel flywheels are designed to closely match the weight of OEM flywheels, so no modifications are required to use one with a Centerforce clutch or most other clutch assemblies built to OEM specs. The steel flywheels are SFI-certified for racing use, and are available for many popular domestic and import applications.
Centerforce Aluminum Flywheels can shave some weight from the clutch assembly—ideal for a snappier throttle and faster revs. Manufactured from aircraft-grade 7075 T-6 billet aluminum, the flywheels have mechanically retained starter ring gears and replaceable steel friction surfaces that are heat-treated for abrasion resistance and long life. Centerforce aluminum flywheels are also SFI-certified for racing, and available for popular Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler applications.
Summit Racing carries Centerforce flywheels for over 90 applications from import to domestic, street to track.
