APT Index: In-Store Retail Sales Down 2.4% in November, Positive Comps in Major West Coast Cities
WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) announced today that in-store retail sales were down 2.4% in November of this year, compared to November 2014, according to the APT Index. Retail sales were below last year for most of the month, including Thanksgiving Day and the days following. A few major West Coast cities, however, stood out with positive sales comps.
Patrick O’Reilly, APT President & COO, said, “November sales rung in lower than last year, though a couple of West Coast cities saw positive comps. We’ll continue to look at how sales shake out moving through the holiday season.”
The APT Index aggregates in-store sales data at over 100,000 chain stores and restaurants across the U.S. to show how year-over-year sales performance changes.
