Triangle-based Event Management Company Announces Four-Member Advisory Board Comprised of Local Business Leaders

The Special Event Company (TSEC) is pleased to announce the formation of its advisory board to strategically guide the company’s current business strategy for the 2015-2017 term. The board, comprised of four local business leaders, contains extensive expertise across a range of industries including legal, healthcare, technology, financial, local government and public affairs. The board comprises:

  • Michael Schoenfeld – Vice President for Public Affairs and Government Relations, Duke University and past Chair of the Durham Chamber of Commerce.
  • Santo (Sandy) Costa – Of Council, Smith Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, LLP; former President and Chief Operating Officer, Quintiles and former Senior Vice President Administration, General Counsel & Secretary, Glaxo Inc.
  • John Kurtzweil – Chief Financial Officer, Wolfspeed (A Cree Company), and former EVP and CFO of Extreme Networks and Cree Inc.
  • The Hon. James T Fain III – Business/Economic Development Consultant, Reid Street Consulting; former North Carolina Secretary of Commerce and Interim Executive Director of UNC Center for International Understanding
