Participate in festive activities this season with the whole family at the Museum.

While all of the museum’s holiday happenings are filled with fun and good cheer, we have a family experience that is truly magical!

This year, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is hosting Holiday Cheer, a month packed with contests, workshops, Santa Claus photos and more. All month long, the Museum will be hosting different festivities to celebrate different seasonal holidays like Hanukkah and Christmas. No matter what holiday people celebrate, there’s something at the Museum for everyone to jump in on and enjoy with the entire family.

From Dec. 6-13, Hanukkah Week will be taking place at the Museum alongside an Elf Workshop from 11 a.m.-noon on Dec. 1-17 where children can make light-up holiday cards and other crafts. Children can even visit the North Pole from 11 a.m.-noon and 3-4 p.m. on Dec. 18-24 and hang out with Santa and friends. At Stepping Stones Museum, the holidays are happening.

The Museum even features the “best sock skating in Connecticut!” Slip and slide across the floor in socks with family, friends and kids. This activity is voted as favorite amongst the staff and other participants too!

“While all of the museum’s holiday happenings are filled with fun and good cheer, we have a family experience that is truly magical!” said Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill, director of exhibit design and delivery. “We have the ‘Best Sock Skating in Connecticut!’ Take off your shoes and you and your child can glide along in your socks. Our sock skating rink is definitely a Stepping Stones Museum Staff ‘Top Pick.’ It will be open through the winter and we hope to see your triple axel soon!”

With sock skating, arts and crafts, photo-ops with Santa and his North Pole friends, and so much more, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is the perfect place to visit in Connecticut for festive fun.
