Alpharetta-based software development and IT staffing firm is paired with Iberia Bank as its corporate mentor

Concept Software & Services, Inc. (CSSI), an Alpharetta-based IT staffing and software development firm is named as a 2015 graduate of the Georgia Mentor Protégé Connection Program (GMPC). Concept successfully completed the 12-month GMPC mentorship program in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), Georgia Tech’s Innovative Center and the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSC). Sharing the spotlight with CSSI was 26 emerging small business graduates and 25 corporate mentors honored during the commencement program held on December 4, 2015 at UPS Corporate Headquarters.

The Georgia Mentor Protégé Connection Program is an initiative that partners with small and diverse businesses in Georgia and connects them to successful large companies to foster and enhance business development opportunities. The 2015 protégés were paired with corporate mentors and participated not only in one-on-one mentoring, but also were provided training, reporting sessions, and pitch and presentation guidance among the program’s many varied activities. “I am encouraged that programs like the Georgia Mentor Protégé Connection make it possible for businesses of all types to experience strategic growth in Georgia,” states Randy Clark, Vice President of Iberia Bank and corporate mentor to Concept Software & Services. “It is exciting to see how mentor-protégé pairings can develop into meaningful, long-term relationships and provide great opportunities for protégés to benefit from the experiences of well-established, leading Georgia companies.” Iberia Bank served as a new 2015 sponsor of the Georgia’s Mentor Protégé Connection.

Throughout the 12-month program, GMPC protégés gain unlimited insight and leadership from their mentors allowing them to chart goals for successful growth. Mentors, in turn, not only gain new and quality suppliers but receive gratification of giving back to the business community and helping smaller companies take advantage of their potential.
