OMedLive to Host Online CME Event on Advances in Diagnosing and Treating Colorectal Cancer

Nationally recognized oncologists Wasif Saif, MD, of Tufts University School of Medicine, Andrea Cercek, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Bert H. O’Neil, MD, of Indiana University Simon Cancer Center to present live online

OMedLive will present medical oncologists, oncology nurses, and other health care professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer an opportunity to learn the latest science around treating metastatic pancreatic cancer live via online video at no cost. The event will be held on December 16 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET at http://www.OMedLive.com. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education and PlatformQ Health Education. The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The program will feature Wasif Saif, MD, of Tufts University School of Medicine, Andrea Cercek, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Bert H. O’Neil, MD, of Indiana University Simon Cancer Center. Topics in the two, hour-long programs will include: Rationale for profiling mCRC and comparison of screening tools; mutations and analysis, understanding their impact on treatment; nuts and bolts of mutation testing and interpretation of results; surgical, radiologic, cytotoxic and targeted agents as treatment options; unresectable liver metastases, what are the treatment options and approaches; update on treatment advances and clinical trial data. This activity is supported by educational grants from Genentech, Inc. and Lilly.
