Welch Group’s Allerton House Assisted Living Communities in MA Look to 2016 with Roster of Events
Hingham MA (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group’s Allerton House Assisted Living Communities, located in five towns along the Massachusetts South Shore, are gearing up for the New Year with an exciting roster of events. These events are designed to engage and inform seniors and their adult children about the assisted living lifestyle. They include Lunch & Learn events, concerts, programs on planning for the future and themed luncheons.
According to the U. S. Census Bureau by 2050 there will be nearly 84 million Americans who are 65 years-old or older – nearly double the figure of 43.1 million in 2012. The increased number of older adults will continue to fuel demand for senior housing, personalized care and socialization services such as those provided by Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group’s assisted living communities.
To encourage socialization, the five Allerton Houses are opening their events to seniors and families who have a serious interest in assisted living. According to the Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association (Mass ALFA), assisted living residences have a dual purpose. The communities are designed for individuals 62 and older who need personalized care and supportive services and housing to meet their needs. Additionally, assisted living is defined by assistance with the activities of daily living that an individual may require. These may include routine activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, or eating. February 25 – 10:30 AM – Music with Pianist Jack Craig – Allerton House at Hancock Park in Quincy, MA. Reservation required.
March 8 – 5:00 PM –“What if …Workbook Presentation,” by Gwen Morgan. This is a discussion about the gathering and preparation of essential documents. – Allerton House in Duxbury, MA. Reservation required.
March 15 – Noon –St. Patrick’s Day Lunch and Learn – Allerton House in Marshfield, MA. Reservation required.
