The NPD Group Hires Jeremy Allen to Head Product Group
Port Washington, New York (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- The NPD Group, Inc., a global information company, has hired Jeremy Allen as Group President, Product. He will be based in Port Washington, NY, reporting to Karyn Schoenbart, NPD President and Chief Operating Officer.
As head of the Product group, Allen will lead product management and product development for consumer and retail / distributor tracking services which span more than 20 industries. Leveraging expanded retailer partnerships and new research methodologies, NPD has significantly enhanced its data assets, offering more granular information including weekly and store-level enabled information and account-level reports for select retailer partners.
Previously, Allen was EVP of Nielsen’s Marketing Effectiveness Practice, where he led a $120 million business with 400 employees, delivering a full suite of marketing effectiveness solutions to clients. He also synthesized marketplace needs to drive prioritized new product development across the firm’s data and consulting businesses, and developed metrics to demonstrate ROI and drive increased renewal rates and greater solution penetration.
Before joining Nielsen, Allen spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company, with a focus on achieving pragmatic, impactful solutions. He worked with multiple CMOs and marketing teams to redesign brand planning processes, analyze and reposition brand plans, and develop pricing strategies. He also worked with numerous consumer companies on all aspects of strategy development including designing and running strategic planning processes and evaluating domestic and international market growth opportunities. He holds an MBA from Harvard University.
