Alert solution, DeskAlerts has put the cherry on top of its emergency alerts cake this week with the official launch of the DeskAlerts Emergency mobile app for iPhone and iPad. The app is live now and available for download from the AppStore. It is free to use for DeskAlerts clients who currently use the DeskAlerts Emergency module.
DeskAlerts Lead Developer Roman Toporkov commented, “To us, our brand new mobile application is literally the cherry on top of what has been a very busy and successful year. The DeskAlerts Emergency Notifications Solution is –along with the corporate screensaver module – one of the most popular of all our desktop alert software modules.”
“The launch of our Emergency alerts app in the App Store is the perfect complement to this capability. The application effectively supports the emergency messages feature, giving those who use DeskAlerts for emergency alerts purposes as well as general internal communications, total peace of mind when they are on the move.”
The notification system’s emergency alerts solution is designed to be quick and easy, allowing to send pre-defined messages to specific contacts within their organization. The app mirrors this capability, with the added benefit of extending this convenience to locations outside of the office itself.
With the Emergency Alerts notification system, DeskAlerts can be used to send actionable content on demand. Alerts can include embedded URLS to send the recipient through to a specific web page or, embedded multimedia content in the form of a video, flash, images or HTML code. Documents can also be attached to the Emergency notification while messages, once constructed, can also be pre-scheduled and marked to repeat at desired intervals.
Other features such as receipt confirmation, a robust reporting and statistics component, reminders and printable content make it supremely useful in organizations large and small, particularly those with employees spread across a number of facilities, departments or geographical locations.
The Emergency alerts dispatched by the app or the web-based version of the emergency alerts tool can also be marked as such. This means they will display as urgent and take priority over any other notifications or alerts being displayed on the recipient’s desktop. Auto close and self-destruct options mean content remains secure and private, even if an emergency does take place.
