As an advertising agency, we enjoy finding fun work to do that stretches our creativity and helps express our personalities. ’Elf A Selfie’ was a perfect example.

The elves at Stevens & Tate Marketing are being rewarded this year for their good deeds, with a coveted International Davey Award. The Davey Award for creative excellence is for the agency’s innovative “Elf A Selfie” Mobile App developed to spread cheer during the 2014-2015 holiday season.
According to the agency, “Elf A Selfie” was created as a fun way to share festive spirit and interact during the season. The App allowed users to ‘elf’ up a photo with an array of holiday-themed overlay props, and then send their digital ‘sELFies’ to family and friends. These merry creations helped spread joy all around—on phones, in emails and online. To further celebrate the spirit of the season, the agency created a social landing page linked to Instagram, which showcased staff “ELFing” themselves in photos using the same festive props found in the App. The site grew to include all ‘sELFies’ posted and tagged from around the web.
President Dan Gartlan said, “As an advertising agency, we enjoy finding fun work to do that stretches our creativity and helps express our personalities. ’Elf A Selfie’ was a perfect example,” he continued. “Using our digital marketing and Mobile App design skills for a project like this really motivates the team—and winning awards for our efforts makes it even more enjoyable.” To learn more about Stevens & Tate Marketing’s “Elf A Selfie” App, please contact Gartlan directly at 630-627-5200.
