Health Evaluators assessments are designed to find people who might be at risk for a health condition and who would benefit from formal clinical evaluation. With this approach, a diverse population can be addressed with a simple, streamlined tool.

Consumers today have access to more information about their health and the care they receive than ever, which can make it challenging for hospitals to attract and retain patients. Fortunately, a new online health assessment platform called Health Evaluators from StayWell, helps hospitals and clinic systems engage patients, provide valuable health education and learn about the health status of their community. StayWell is a health and patient engagement company formed by the merger between Krames StayWell and StayWell Health Management.

Health Evaluators are short, web-based questionnaires that can be displayed on a hospital or clinic website to engage consumers and direct them to the care they need or opportunities to improve their health. The easy-to-use Health Evaluators assessments provide valuable action steps for addressing individual health improvement opportunities and reporting tools for hospitals and health systems.

“Health care providers are looking for new ways to increase consumer health engagement while connecting with prospective patients,” said David Gregg, MD, chief medical officer, StayWell. "Health Evaluators assessments are designed to find people who might be at risk for a health condition and who would benefit from formal clinical evaluation. With this approach, a diverse population can be addressed with a simple, streamlined tool.”

StayWell’s Health Evaluators are initially available on the following health topics that consumers have indicated are important to them, with additional topics being added in the coming year:

  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Pre-diabetes
  • Osteoarthritis

Hospital and health care marketing professionals and business leaders will realize the benefits of Health Evaluators assessments, including the ability to:

  • Increase website traffic,
  • Generate qualified leads as consumers opt-in to provide contact information, submit health inquiries, and demonstrate interest in specific services,
  • Connect patients to health care providers in their hospital or health system, and
  • Promote service lines and centers of excellence.

“During beta testing our partners have reported a high level of satisfaction with the visually appealing and streamlined interactive user interface,” said Lisa Meredith, vice president, product management, StayWell. “We’ve found the tool engages a broad cross section of respondents who complete the Health Evaluators mini-assessments.”

Recognizing the importance of social media in how people communicate with friends and families, StayWell has also incorporated a social sharing option into the Health Evaluators tool, which allows consumers to share blank Health Navigators assessments with friends and families. Not only can this help spread good health, it can provide important word-of-mouth marketing for hospitals in today’s busy world.
