SmartKage Opens 21st Location at Diamond Pros Baseball of Glen Arm, Maryland

“Diamond Pro Baseball joins a select group of premier facilities that offer state-of- the-art off-season training,” said SmartSports co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Larry Scannell

As baseball players across the nation transition to indoor training for winter, Glen Arm MD becomes the newest high-tech training and recruiting location. Diamond Pros Baseball is the site of SmartSports 21st SmartKage® unit. This marks the beginning of the second half of the Company’s first phase of 40 SmartKage® units, of a scheduled national roll-out of 160 facilities.

Diamond Pro Baseball, which is located at 5200 Glen Arm Road in Glen Arm, is headed up by MLB Scout Alex Smith, who recently joined the Miami Marlins scouting team after more than a decade as an MLB Scouting Supervisor for the Seattle Mariners.

“Diamond Pro Baseball joins a select group of premier facilities that offer state-of-the-art off- season training,” said SmartSports co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Larry Scannell. “Alex and his staff offer the finest in professional instruction and the installation of SmartKage® enhances the facilities extensive technology training and evaluation tools.”

In what it calls the equivalent of a “Physical SAT™” SmartKage is the first quantitative technology system and network that measures specific athletic performance for baseball and softball players.

Each one-hour SmartKage session yields up to 75 performance metrics for baseball and softball players. The patented proprietary technologies are completely invisible to the user; there are no wires, markers or sensors on the athlete. Performance data is captured in real time and used for player development, identification, college recruiting and professional scouting.

All facilities have online bookings/testing for its patented SmartKage baseball/softball player evaluation system which now include:
