Telemedicine finds its way into one-stop-shopping in a retail store. AMD Global Telemedicine's technology was selected by MercyCare Community Physicians for use in a first-of-its kind Telehealth Clinic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
MercyCare Community Physicians wanted to make it easy, affordable and convenient for patients to visit a healthcare professional. The Clinical Assist telemedicine system and AGNES Interactive® software allows a registered nurse at MercyCare Telehealth Clinic to perform a clinical assessment on a patient, while at the same time having a consult with a remote physician. After the consult is complete, the information from the examination goes back to the patient’s primary care physician via the electronic medical record system or fax.

The Clinical Assist telemedicine system is designed to accommodate multiple medical specialties and integrates with any video conferencing format.
