Natalie Forest, Ph.D. & Executive Director of the Women Of Global Change, Is Honored to Attend the Grammy Awards 2016 Supporting Potential & Education
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 30, 2015 -- The Grammy Awards 2016 gathers artists from all genres, all cultures, and all socio-economic groups come together to celebrate their achievements while connected with a bond to move forward in a more positive direction. As always there is a special emphasis on the younger generation and how to inspire them, which is part of what Natalie Forest & the Women of Global Change has been doing for years. The Grammy foundation itself “works in partnership year-round with The Recording Academy to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage.”
The returning host LL Cool J has a record of supporting worthy causes, such Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, which focuses on “harnessing the cultural relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as a catalyst for education” or Jumpstart, which addresses the need for quality early childhood programs” and connect college students to service projects. Grammy Awards’ winners who play an active part in positive progress for youth are also Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, not to mention nominees and winners such as John Legend, who states that “Philanthropy in the strictest sense is love of the humankind”. In that vein he is working on breaking the cycle of poverty through education so that “young people can make the most of their opportunities” via his “The Show Me Campaign”. As host of The host of TED Talks Education, further exemplified his commitment, and that of many of his peers, to ensure the next generation has a solid education that support them in achieving their dreams and goals. Often this support required innovative methods, which means new ways of reaching the younger generation with revolutionary educational strategies.
Dr. Natalie Forest is honored to be attend the Grammy’s especially due to the common bond of philanthropy with a focus on education that many of the attendees, nominees, and participants share. During a celebratory event such as the Grammy’s where musical talent and collaboration (duet and group performances) are honored that demonstrate current social and musical trends, philanthropy may not be on everyone’s mind. However, Teachers for the Third Annual Music Education Award are also part of the award show highlighting the deep-rooted connection between music and education. As a trained historian Dr. Forest sees the hidden power of patterns in many arenas of life and business and excited to be able to participate in the Grammy’s. Her hope is to connect with many of the philanthropically minded artists for a collaboration that will revolutionize education as we know it.
Dr. Forest is excited to not only be attending the Grammy’s 2016 but to expand her network for the benefit of upcoming performers and designers such as Santini Rose and Aswad Abasi, who are sure to surprise audiences across the globe in 2016 and beyond. These are just some of the new talents – designers, performers, artists and story-tellers of all walks of life - that have sought out Dr. Natalie as a strategist and supporter to enhance their global impact.
“For me, one of the greatest gifts is to be able to support people in finding and then sharing their own voice, their own experiences, their own selves in a respectful and insightful manner that demonstrates their love for humanity. That is, I believe, why the end of 2015 has been marked with unexpected connections to the entertainment world, where education takes places in a different way and where collaboration tends to excel to better accentuates and amplifies everyone’s talents," explains Dr. Natalie.
