I am completely blown away by the judges selections for this year’s awards.... these projects should inspire everyone
Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) January 05, 2016
Green Builder® magazine announced the results of its 8th Annual Green Builder Home of the Year Awards, which attracted entries from around the country. Open to architects and builders nationwide, the awards celebrate excellence in design, sustainability, and construction of green home projects. After careful consideration, the judging panel of green home experts selected ZeroEnergy Design’s Brookline Residence as Best Inspired Green Design.
The judges remarked upon the exceptional overall quality of submissions and deep integration of sustainability in each green home. Entries were evaluated on comprehensive criteria, including siting, the depth of building science employed, materials sourcing and reuse and overall resilience. Winners will be showcased in the December 2015/January 2016 issue of Green Builder® magazine.
“I have to say that I am completely blown away by the judges selections for this year’s awards and amazed by the diversity of project types, geographic locations, selections of materials/products/systems, and architectural styles” says Green Builder Media President, Ron Jones. “The masterful combining of creativity and building science so beautifully and convincingly demonstrated in these projects should inspire everyone, everywhere in the shelter industry to emulate these extraordinary designers and builders.”
This year’s judging panel included Sam Hagerman of Hammer and Hand, Bill Rectanus of Thrive Home Builders, and Steve Byers of EnergyLogic.
