James Earl Jones Hosts a New "Behind The Scenes" Piece for Public Television on Construction Management
(PRWEB) December 28, 2015 -- Working in construction provides an opportunity for a variety of positions and jobs. A management position in construction focuses on the planning, coordination and creation of a project. Construction managers work with a team to create a building from the plans generated on paper.
In construction management, professionals learn about the process of creating a building from the foundation. They start with nothing more than a plot of land and a set of plans. A professional construction manager then lays out the plan and process of construction based on the situation and the individuals available to work on the project.
During the process of creating a new building, construction managers work around federal, state and local laws to ensure that the building follows any regulations and codes set up by the local area. Furthermore, construction management professionals must coordinate skilled and unskilled workers to get the final results that are described in the building plans. Coordinating a variety of workers to accomplish a specific task ensures that the building complies with structural standards.
In an upcoming "Behind The Scenes" segment with host James Earl Jones, viewers will learn about construction management and the ways a manager uses specific skills to accomplish a task. The segment will discuss different strategies that construction managers use and the way that the coordinate workers. Consumers will also learn about the opportunities within the industry.
"Behind The Scenes" is a public broadcast that is not affiliated with PBS.
