“When my business partners and I started HEG, we wanted to create an environment where all of our employees could have a seat at the table,” said Frank Healy, president and CEO.
TEMPE, Ariz. (PRWEB) December 24, 2015
Higher Ed Growth (HEG), a full-service marketing agency specializing in post-secondary education, has been named one of the Valley’s Best Places to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal. The honor marks the agency’s second prestigious award in recent months, as HEG also earned a coveted spot on Inc. magazine’s 2015 Inc. 5000 list for the second consecutive year.
Founded in 2007, HEG has increased its growth by 222 percent in the last three years, reaching more than $7 million in revenue. According to President and CEO Frank Healy, the tremendous growth can be attributed to the agency’s employees.
“When my business partners and I started HEG, we wanted to create an environment where all of our employees could have a seat at the table,” said Healy. “While we’ve grown tremendously in the past few years, our team-first mentality has remained the same. We work very collaboratively and are focused on helping each other develop both professionally and on a personal level.”
In addition to a formal mentoring program, regularly catered lunches and perks such as a standing invitation to bring pets to the office, HEG places emphasis on work-life balance. Through a wellness program, the agency incentivizes physical fitness by paying a tiered amount for employees’ memberships based on how often they go to the gym each month.
More than 100 Arizona companies were honored at the Phoenix Business Journal’s Best Places to Work awards luncheon on Dec. 3, 2015 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. Established in 2003, the awards program recognizes local organizations that offer rewarding work environments. Through a third-party administered survey, employees provide direct feedback about a variety of criteria including team effectiveness, leadership, benefits and workplace culture. HEG placed No. 36 in the micro business category, defined as having between 10 and 49 employees.
