The Force is Strong with This GIANT Star Destroyer Drone built by Flite Test
Canton, OH (PRWEB) December 29, 2015 -- Fresh on the heels of The Force Awakens release, Flite Test – a group of R/C aficionados – has created a fully functioning Star Destroyer drone. Built out of foam and other everyday materials, the Star Destroyer is a whopping 15 feet long and powered by two huge electric motors and a large lithium polymer battery.
Launched from a truck to get it up to speed, the Star Destroyer flies pretty well despite its enormous size. Until it gets caught in a backyard space battle with an RC Millennium Falcon mounted on a Lumenier quadcopter drone. The footage of the flight is impressive, captured by two small first person view (FPV) drones.
