TYLER, Texas (PRWEB) February 06, 2015 -- Author N.E. Brown announces the nationwide release of her new mystery, romance novel, “Carson Chance, P.I.: Over the Edge.”
“Carson Chance, P.I.” is a romantic story of a young man — injured and haunted by the Vietnam War — who returns to Dallas, Texas, in the rock-and-roll era of the 1960s. Twenty-four-year-old Carson Chance gets smitten by Amy Warren, a young female hitchhiker, in a chance meeting on a road trip. Carson, who is a private investigator, offers Amy a chance to get back on her feet, until he finds out that she is wanted for murder. He then sets out to prove her innocent, and he does.
Sooner or later, she is released from jail, yet Carson begins distancing himself from her. Several years later, he finds out that she has become a motorcycle cop in his neighborhood. Frequent stops by Carson’s house erupt a passion between them, and their “on and off” relationship causes him to rethink his future. Just when he thinks his life is finally falling into place, unfortunate events find Carson on the brink of losing Amy.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at http://www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
After retiring from a successful career in real estate, Brown began pursuing her passion for writing. She has already authored and published four successful fictional books relating to life in early Galveston. Having been a legal secretary during the 1960s in Dallas, Brown has an eye for detail that brings about a memorable life experience between the two young characters in her book “Carson Chance, P.I.” Brown’s love of Texas history inspires her to create true-to-life fictional characters from the past.
