Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) June 10, 2015 -- Legacy – GoHealth Urgent Care announces Good2Go, a new sports physical program to benefit local middle and high school athletic programs. Good2Go offers students a way to get required sports physicals plus earn $10 for their school athletic programs. In Oregon and Washington, sports physicals are mandatory for athletes in grades 7 through 12 at least once every two years.
In celebration of our joint venture and commitment to the community, Legacy – GoHealth Urgent Care will donate $10.00 to designated schools for every sports physical provided. There is no ceiling and every school’s athletic program in the state of Oregon and Washington can benefit. This is one way of supporting schools in our community while encouraging activities that promote health and fitness.
“It’s really a win-win, parents get their kids the needed physical requirements met to participate in school sports while raising money for their school’s athletic programs,” says Shaunna Stanfill of Reynolds High School booster program. “Last year we had over 100 players that received a sports physical. Had this opportunity been available, we could have received $1000.00. That would have certainly helped our efforts.”
Good2Go runs from June 1 through September 30 to allow ample time for student athletes to schedule and receive their sports physicals. Schools will receive money raised through this program on November 15, 2015.
“School budgets are tight and the need for additional money to support athletic programs is an ongoing challenge,” says Dr. Gregory Carroll, Regional President and Medical Director of GoHealth. “We get asked to support area high schools regularly and this is an opportunity to for us to support all schools verses a select few.”
