Dickinson Wright Attorney Anjali Webster Received the State Bar of Nevada's 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award
Reno, NV (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Anjali D. Webster received the State Bar of Nevada’s 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award earlier this month at the State Bar’s Annual Meeting in Seattle, Wash.
Ms. Webster was honored for her work in support of the passage of the Nevada’s Court of Appeals ballot initiative in 2014. She served as pro bono counsel for Nevadans for a Court of Appeals, a bi-partisan political action committee comprised of thirteen Nevada senators and assemblypersons advocating for the creation of a court of appeals in Nevada.
The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a member for outstanding volunteer service to the State Bar of Nevada. The recipient of the award has served or continues to serve on state bar committees or sections and has demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the profession and to the protection of the public.
Ms. Webster is an Associate in the firm’s Reno office. She focuses her practice on complex litigation and appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Webster served as a judicial clerk to Justice James Hardesty at the Nevada Supreme Court, drafting opinions and orders, writing bench memoranda, and reviewing appellate briefs in civil and criminal cases. Ms. Webster is a Board Member of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association and a member of the Leadership Team of the State Bar of Nevada’s Appellate Litigation Section. She is recognized as a leader in her field by Mountain State Super Lawyers and Nevada Business’ Legal Elite. Ms. Webster received her B.A. and B.S. from the University of Nevada and her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School.
