Getaways Resort Management Invites Vacationers to Early Halloween Celebrations in Orlando
ORLANDO, Florida (PRWEB) September 04, 2015 -- When travelers head to Imperial Lakes this September, they may not be thinking of ghosts and goblins just yet. However, as Getaways Resort Management points out, Halloween fun doesn’t have to be relegated solely to Oct. 31.
From mid-September through the day after Halloween, two of the biggest theme parks in the area – Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando – are hosting their unique versions of trick or treat fun.
For the older Halloween lovers, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is sure to be the frightfest they’re hoping for. On select nights from Sept. 18 through Nov. 1, the streets of Universal Studios Florida® theme park will be crawling with hordes of terrifying creatures and murderous psychopaths. Since it is the park’s 25th year of holding this event, visitors can expect an expert scare. Universal draws upon its bevy of horror movie moments, including an “Insidious”-themed haunted house. Brave visitors can travel through a frightening retelling of all three parts of the “Insidious” saga. Besides the haunted houses, visitors can also journey through multiple scare zones where creatures lurk around every turn; each section of the park is reimagined to fit a more horrific theme. According to Getaways Resort Management, there will also be live shows, and visitors can still experience many of the park’s exciting rides and attractions. This event is not recommended for children under 13, and the park will not allow visitors to wear costumes or masks.
Imperial Lakes vacationers looking for a toned-down version of Halloween scares can visit Walt Disney World for their annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This family-friendly event will be held from Sept. 15 to Nov. 1 on select days. Children are encouraged to dress up for Disney’s “not-so-scary” event; in fact, many favorite Disney characters will also dress up in their very own Halloween costumes. There will also be all kinds of candies and sweets for the little trick-or-treaters. Getaways Resort Management says events include the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, in which the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s movie “Hocus Pocus” run amuck trying to put together a Halloween party with the help of other Disney villains. Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters will take part in Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade, led by the Headless Horseman himself. The Happy HalloWishes will feature fireworks and spooky remixes of Disney villain theme songs.
