Etsy’s Top Shop Three Bird Nest Says Goodbye to Etsy

The decision was made by Three Bird Nest to leave Etsy in order to better serve and focus on their customers through their own website and wholesale channels.

Since 2011 Three Bird Nest’s Etsy shop was one of the fastest growing shops on Etsy and brought in an average of $60,000 USD a month in sales to the shop. Alicia Shaffer, founder of Three Bird Nest, is a mom to three young children and operates the family run business with her husband and dedicated team. They attribute this success to being dedicated to customer service, consistent branding, and offering unique products.
The choice to leave Etsy's marketplace wasn’t made lightly and took the company over a year to decide. “We want to focus on Three Bird Nest's website growth and potentially explore other marketplaces that fit more in line with our core values as a company,” Shaffer continued, “Additionally one of our goals has always been to provide affordable bohemian fashion clothing and accessories to our customers which we now can realize by selling independantly."
