Author Daniel Robert Dow returns to the desolate fictional world he created in his previous novels, ‘ABADDON And The Space Between Eternities’ and ‘In the Shadow of Abaddon.’ As the most recent book in the series, “Abaddon’s Bastards” (published by Xlibris) follows one officer’s plans to infiltrate an organized crime ring.
Plans, plans, and more plans. Everyone has a plan. Among those making plans is Officer Gerald Kelly, who plans to infiltrate an organized crime ring. Coworker Paul McCaulley plans to make some money on the side. An old gangster, Gino Giovanni, plans to rid himself of an informant. And ex-boxer cum mob enforcer, Kenny O’Sullivan, plans vengeance on his former boss. Will they be able to execute all of those plans?
Mostly set in New York and the fictional prison called Abaddon, this book imparts a strong, moral message revolving around the power of hate to create space for evil. It also highlights how being a bastard is as much a choice as it is an accident of birth. Through a compelling narrative, the author depicts the bleakness of prison life and the power of faith.
A suspense-fueled novel, “Abaddon’s Bastards” is packed with daredevil action, beguiling drama and exhilarating thrills. This is bound to keep readers captivated from start to finish.

About the Author
Daniel R. Dow is 54 years old. He lived the last 35 years in federal penitentiary and the last 17 years as a designated dangerous offender. He graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies and a minor in sociology and anthropology. He also studied European history, the history of socialism and classic English literature. The bulk of his higher education was accomplished in prison through correspondence and the long since cancelled Prison University Program.
Dow is happily married and has been with his wife for 17 years. They are both practicing Christians. They both believe that sometimes people simply have to speak out in order to try to influence the world for the better. That is the reason why he wrote this book.
