The Owners’ Counsel of America (OCA), a nationwide network of leading eminent domain attorneys, recently elected two new members to serve on its Board of Directors. William G. Blake, OCA Nebraska member and a partner with Baylor, Evnen, Curtiss, Grimit & Witt, LLP in Lincoln, and New Jersey member, Anthony DellaPelle, a partner with Morristown-based McKirdy & Riskin, PA will serve three-year terms ending January 2018.

Over more than 35 years of practice, William G. Blake has amassed a wealth of experience in eminent domain, real estate and commercial disputes litigating cases across Nebraska. He is frequently invited to speak, locally and nationally, on issues relating to the condemnation of real property and private property rights and is recognized for his many written works regarding the law of eminent domain. Additionally, he has been sought out by local and national media outlets for his insights regarding eminent domain and has most recently commented on TransCanada’s use of eminent domain to acquire property for the Keystone XL Pipeline through Nebraska.
Mr. Blake is the Editor of “The Law of Eminent Domain,” First Chair Press, (2012) published for the American Bar Association and is the author of “Just Condemnation in Nebraska: a Manual for Owners.” He has served as website editor and chair for the Committee on Condemnation, Zoning and Land Use for the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, and continues to serve as the editor of updates to “The Law of Eminent Domain.” He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his professional accomplishments in eminent domain and condemnation law. Mr. Blake is an active member of his community, serving as Treasurer of the Lincoln West Optimists Foundation and as a member of the Board of Directors and past President of the Lincoln Parks Foundation.

Anthony F. DellaPelle, CRE concentrates his practice in the areas of eminent domain, redevelopment, and real estate tax appeals. He is a designated member of The Counselors of Real Estate®, an international organization of real estate practitioners who are recognized as the leading advisors in complex real property matters. He has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s® highest rating, AV Preeminent, and has been selected as a “New Jersey Super Lawyer” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine since its inception.
Throughout his career spanning more than 25 years, Mr. DellaPelle has tried numerous contested condemnation matters and has secured several multimillion dollar awards for his clients in condemnation cases involving transportation, municipal redevelopment and other projects throughout New Jersey. He is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and has been appointed as an expert in real estate valuation matters by the Superior Court of New Jersey. Mr. DellaPelle lectures frequently in New Jersey and nationally on topics relating to eminent domain, redevelopment and real estate tax appeals and contributes to the New Jersey Condemnation Law Blog, http://www.njcondemnationlaw.com, and the New Jersey Property Tax Law Blog, http://www.realestatetaxappeals.com. He has appeared frequently on national television where he provides commentary on eminent domain and property rights issues around the country.
Mr. DellaPelle served as a member of Governor Christie’s transition team following his 2009 election, and also serves as the Vice Chairman of the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority. Active in civic affairs, he is a Trustee of Franklin & Marshall College and Immediate Past President of the Franklin & Marshall Alumni Association, and has served as an officer and Trustee of the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation and other non-profit and professional associations.
