Deusdedit R.K. Nkurunziza is an associate professor of religion, theology and peace studies at the Department of Religion and Peace Studies, Makerere University and is leading the process of Agriculture for Life and Peace (ALiPe) an innovation to enhance food security, overcome hunger and poverty through sustainable agri-business development. Born 4 November 1953, Bufumbira, Kisoro District, ordained diocesan Catholic priest, Kabale Diocese, Uganda.
He holds a BA in theology, Gregorian University, Rome; Masters in Theology, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA); Doctorate in Theology, Tübingen University, Germany; Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI); Masters in Peace and Reconciliation Studies, Coventry University, United Kingdom.
