JogNog Celebrates Digital Learning Day with Nationwide Contest on March 13
Wakefield, MA (PRWEB) March 06, 2015 -- Despite the proliferation of digital learning in the classroom, teachers still have the age-old problem of motivating students. JogNog created the Digital Learning Day Challenge to motivate students using digital learning technology, including school-issued and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) tablets, Chromebooks, web browsers, and iPhones. By combining friendly competition with high-quality, teacher-developed content based on Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards, and state standards, JogNog aims to make learning – a lot of learning – fun and substantial for Digital Learning Day, March 13, 2015.
The top-scoring student in the competition will receive a $100 Amazon gift card, and each of the top three students will win a personalized JogNog poster as well as recognition on JogNog’s website. Students can win by answering the most questions correctly from the app’s library of 70,000 questions, all of which can be accessed free of charge for the competition. Anyone can join the challenge by entering the code N87RYHK into the “Join class” box on the Home page of JogNog.com or on JogNog's mobile apps. Quiz games played on Digital Learning Day will remain available to the student even after the challenge concludes. Questions are available for grades 2-12. Students will have until 9:00 p.m. eastern time on Digital Learning Day to complete the challenge and claim victory!
“This is a great opportunity for teachers, parents, and schools to try out digital learning with a one-day, friendly competition in learning. We are pleased to make all the quizzes on JogNog available at no cos for Digital Learning Day,” said Stephen Smith, CEO and co-founder of JogNog.com. “This competition will show how much you can learn, not how much you know. Every student has a fair chance. Let the students who learn the most win!”
Digital Learning Day is a national campaign that celebrates teachers and shines a spotlight on successful instructional practice and effective use of technology in classrooms across the country. More information about Digital Learning Day can be found here: http://www.digitallearningday.org.
