a children’s book that celebrates the wonders of the imagination through a creative narrative and fully-colored illustrations
ROSWELL, Ga. (PRWEB) February 23, 2015
Elrick K. McCalla is a big believer in the power of the imagination. He hopes to inspire others to nurture this gift with the release of his first book, “When I Dream of Purple Skies” (published by Xlibris). McCalla’s literary debut is a children’s book that celebrates the wonders of the imagination through a creative narrative and fully-colored illustrations.
In “When I Dream of Purple Skies,” readers will follow a little girl and her teddy bear as they go on an adventure in the land of dreams. They fly on her magic bed and explore the world, seeing many magnificent sights like talking eagles, smiling flowers and bears with proper table manners.
“When I Dream of Purple Skies” also features a coloring book and this makes the reading experience interactive. McCalla hopes that the imaginative story, along with the coloring book, will encourage readers to be creative and to think outside the box.
“In today’s technologically advanced world, kids are forced to grow up fast,” McCalla observes, “I want kids to be more imaginative instead of just pushing buttons and swiping screens. I added the coloring book so they can see the world in their own vision.”
