Complexity of relationships laid out in new book ‘Familiar Stranger’
SARATOGA, Calif. (PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- Author Anne Wickett Cross returns to the literary scene with a story of unfolding relationships, intrigue and adventure. Her compelling narrative reveals how a person reacts upon seeing a “Familiar Stranger” (published by Xlibris).
The world of Karen Benét, a Silicon Valley executive, is turned upside down when she runs into a ‘stranger-who-has-to-be-Michael,’ her enigmatic friend who ‘died’ four years ago. Although Karen values transparency, she is suddenly caught up in clandestine meetings and secrets kept from friends and associates. As Karen and Michael struggle to protect the people they care about, their duplicity is putting those very relationships at risk. When the lie is so big, will the truth set them free?
Providing readers a good ride with a good read, Cross enables readers to discover that “Familiar Stranger” is a page-turner that sports an easy language and interestingly mysterious plot. Played out by a cast of well-developed characters, readers follow a crescendo of drama and anticipation as they work their way until the novel’s explosive end.
