Featuring benefits only the California wine country can offer, Healdsburg Running Camps offer professional guides with ultramarathon experience, celebrated area chefs and local vintners who join an intimate group of 8 to 12 campers on daily runs of 9-20 miles on public and private trails. The four camps run for three to five days each and are organized with support from professional outfitters Peak DMC and Pure-Adventures.
All camps feature daily runs through the scenic Sonoma Valley, as well as gourmet meals, wine tastings, and live music. Each is offered in partnership with a premiere running brand.

“We’re excited to launch these running camps for athletes who are passionate about running, and equally passionate about excellent food and wine,” says Healdsburg Running Camp Director, Skip Brand. “And we’re proud to have such esteemed brands from the running world as partners as we kick off the first year of camp experiences. Our camp guides, hosts and counselors are the 'who’s who' in ultramarathons and road running."
Each of the brands has signed on for unique reasons. “Pearl Izumi is dedicated to meeting the needs of the serious sport enthusiast, so it made sense for us to connect with passionate runners,” says Conor Fournier, representative for Pearl Izumi USA, Inc. “Since northern California provides such spectacular terrain and scenery for outdoor running, partnering with HRC on these camps seemed like a fantastic opportunity.”
“Whole, clean and natural foods are the best fuel for any athlete,” notes Saucony representative and runner Anthony Caligaris. “We’re happy to be part of a running camp that pays such close attention to quality meals and nutrition.”
“We’re pretty excited about the itineraries for these camps,” says Mizuno representative Sean Reilly. “With accommodations and meals taken care of, campers only need to focus on the run and race at the Mizuno camp.”
Hoka One One’s Elite Team member Bob Shebest is as excited about the wine as he is about the runs through his home, Sonoma County. “Is there a better way to end a day of running through the California wine country than having a glass of California wine with the winemaker who made it? These running camps bring together the best of northern California: the scenery, the food and the wine!”
Registration for all the running camps is open, but space is strictly limited. For more information, visit http://healdsburgrunningcamp.com/index.html.
