The Philippine Islands is home to a vibrant array of natural beauty which continues to draw the interest of foreign visitors. Sparingly, it is also a melting pot of different dialects and languages, each of which are characteristic of the varied cultures that cultivated them through the ages. In "SIMILARITIES AND DISSIMILARITIES IN MEANING AND USAGE OF SOME CEBUANO AND TAGALOG WORDS," (published by Xlibris) author Liberacion Narvios Tecson puts together a semantic of shared words in both Cebuano and Tagalog, two of the most commonly used languages in the archipelago. This pseudo-dictionary aims to help foreign visitors communicate efficiently with the locals and experience more of the culture that is uniquely Filipino.
