Family Motor Coach Association Announces Dates for Spring 2016 Reunion
CINCINNATI, Ohio (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- FMCA’s 93rd Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase will take place March 17 to 20, 2016, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Georgia. This 628-acre facility is located just off of Interstate 75, approximately 100 miles south of Atlanta.
The location and the timing of the event will make it a popular way point for RVing snowbirds as they return to their northern homes. Organizers are expecting the owners of more than 2,000 motorhomes to come together for the Reunion.
The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter has become a regular part of FMCA’s event rotation. The 2016 gathering will mark the association’s ninth gathering at the fairgrounds.
“The folks at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and in the city of Perry have been excellent hosts during FMCA’s past visits, so it’s only natural that we’d keep coming back,” FMCA national president Charlie Adcock said. “Since FMCA’s first event there in 1996, the state of Georgia has made numerous improvements that have resulted in the facility becoming even more ideal for our motorhome convention. Add to that a healthy dose of Southern hospitality, and putting Perry on the schedule for an FMCA Reunion is a no-brainer.”
A Family Motor Coach Association event includes a variety of activities. Among them is an incomparable RV shopping experience. Leading manufacturers and dealers bring the latest motorhomes and open them to attendees as part of the Motorhome Showcase. Nearly every imaginable RV product, accessory, component, and service is available as well.
The events also have an educational component. RV experts hold sessions each day to share their knowledge on topics ranging from chassis maintenance to microwave-convection cooking.
Exploring the local area is part of the mix. A professional tour company organizes outings for attendees, who simply hop aboard a tour bus and enjoy the adventure.
Of course, opportunities for socializing abound – from planned activities such as morning coffee hour to impromptu gatherings in the motorhome parking areas.
Additional details will be released as the event nears. In the meantime, motorhome owners are asked to circle the March 17-20 dates on their calendar and to make plans for a great time in Georgia.
