John Maday of Vance Publishing Joins Vets Plus for Speaker Series
Menomonie, Wis. (PRWEB) June 01, 2015 -- Vets Plus, Inc. welcomed John Maday on Friday, May 22, to discuss trends in cattle production and veterinary practice. Maday is editor of Bovine Veterinarian and managing editor of Drovers / CattleNetwork. Maday spoke to a group of about 30 staff members from all departments at Vets Plus.
As Vets Plus celebrates its 25th year in business, the company is focusing on innovation and customer service. Raj Lall, president and CEO of Vets Plus, says that bringing in outside consultants to present has had an impact on both of these initiatives. He said, “We’ve hosted several speakers who have shared with us new technologies and ways to improve our customer interactions.” Maday’s presentation was no different. Lall said, “His explanation of the hows and whys of the beef and veterinary business was especially beneficial for our sales and marketing teams to consider as we work with customers in these segments.”
Maday’s presentation covered trends in beef production over the last 40 years, explaining the fluctuations in pricing, decline in numbers of cattle, and increase in production efficiency. The Vets Plus team was particularly interested in recent survey results about veterinary services and producer relationships with their vets. According to Lall, “The animal health industry is made up of so many segments; it’s hard to be an expert in all of them, but as we manufacture for all species, we do business in all channels and have to stay on top of the trends in all aspects of animal nutrition.”
Maday is the third industry expert to join Vets Plus as a presenter during the company’s Year of Innovation. Lall said, “Our educated employees are our best resource when it comes to helping our customers succeed. The speaker series has given people from all departments an opportunity to learn more about our ever-changing industry and our place as a leader within it.”
