Hugs bring positive feelings, better health, freedom and security, according to an article featured in psychologytoday.com titled “4 Benefits of Hugs, for Mind and Body.” Authors Albert J. Brown Jr. and Margaret Brown encourage children to express simple acts of kindness, like hugs, through the story of “Tugger the Hugger” (published by Xlibris).
“Tugger the Hugger” is one in a series of books that follows the title character in different adventures. In this particular tale, Tugger brings happiness to his hometown of New Brazy through the simple gift of a hug.
Albert is grandfather to 33 grandchildren and he hopes the story of Tugger will delight other children. The authors also want it to teach readers to be more compassionate and kind.
Accompanied by fully-colored illustrations and told in captivating rhymes, “Tugger the Hugger” is a heartwarming story filled with valuable lessons that both adults and children can learn from.
